A 400-acre commitment, week after week.

For this project, we were tasked with completing lawn mowing and ground maintenance services in the Benbrook Lake Region of Fort Worth, Texas. Our scope of work spanned over 10 distinct park locations covering over 400 acres. Throughout the project, our team coordinated directly with USACE personnel and regional partners to maintain public use areas throughout the peak recreational season – completing weekly mowings consistently over a three-year period.

The scope spanned three categories of service: facility mowing (25-foot zones around campgrounds, restrooms, and playgrounds), area mowing (park roads, loops, and open spaces to the water’s edge), and embankment mowing (50-acre dam slope requiring specialized slope-certified tractors).

Certified crews. Five lines of responsibility.

Our team consisted of certified landscaping contractors, ground maintenance specialists, and slope-certified equipment operators. Responsibilities included:

Performing facility mowings to meet 1.5–3 inch grass height specifications across 10 major facility complexes, including campgrounds, day-use areas, and administrative buildings.

Providing area mowing services to 2–4 inch grass height standards across 400+ acres of park roads, loops, and public use areas to the water’s edge.

Executing embankment mowings on 50+ acres of dam slopes using dual-rear-wheel tractors certified for 50% slope operations.

Performing groundskeeping maintenance – edging, trimming, and debris removal – across all maintained areas to ensure a professional appearance.

Coordinating mowing schedules with USACE personnel to minimize impact on campground occupants and day-use visitors on a weekly basis.

Built for federal scope.
